Hi!
I’m so glad we found each other.
My name is Kandyce, and I’m an Army-brat turned artist who hails mostly, kinda-sorta from Georgia. Unapologetically queer and multiracial, I’m a Boston-based actor, director, educator, and arts administrator with local housing in NYC.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved the power of storytelling and capturing the intricacies of the human experience. I received my BFA in Acting from Emerson College in May of 2023 where I explored that very love of storytelling through Shakespeare, new works, devised theatre, performance art, and directing, just to name a few.
When I’m not freelancing as an actor, director, or teaching artist, I work at Lyric Stage Boston as the Marketing and Digital Content Associate where I create social media posts, generate emails, and capture/edit a variety of digital photos and videos. My top priorities are highlighting the fierce artists who work with us and uniting the Greater Boston community together through meaningful theatrical experiences.
I have a massive artistic appetite for stories centered around queer, multicultural, and femme-forward experiences, but my ultimate goal is to collaborate and create beautiful and evocative pieces of art that connect, examine, and process our everyday lives to the increasingly complex world we live in today.
When I’m not working, you can find me in the kitchen, at a D&D campaign, or bouncing around Boston’s beloved local drag and dive bar scene.
Let’s make magic together!
